Taft is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Accounting team in our Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office.

Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Assist with the financial planning and budget process for the firm.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility of becoming a subject matter expert on and maintaining the firm's budget tool to provide financial insight. Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports and communicating budget to actuals to key decision makers. Support the financial planning process through monthly forecast processes. Assisting with month end close procedures such as journal entries, account reconciliation and expense coding review. Provide support to Corporate Controller and Director of Finance as needed. Completing research and ad hoc projects as required. Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, Other Requirements General knowledge of accounting and Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with data analytics methods and visualization tools. Advanced math skills to analyze figures and interpret data trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong multi-tasking prioritizing and organizational skills

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of experience of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Preferred CPA or similar accreditation. Preferred experience within law or similar service industry. Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.
