Position Description:

A Foodmobile Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the Foodmobile (Keystone’s mobile food shelf).

Duties include: Loading, driving the Foodmobile, distributing food, train and supervise volunteers while on location, and directly serve participants with excellent customer services and a commitment to dignity and equality.

This position works independently (on the Foodmobile) while maintaining clear communication with the Mobile Services Program Manager, and coordinating with Warehouse and Volunteer teams. This position will also be scheduled to work a rotating Wednesday evening shift as assigned as the Keystone Community Food Center (KCFC) has extended hours this day.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

55% - Foodmobile Distribution

Loading food and preparing equipment. Driving to and from community locations. On-site set-up and tear down. Working directly with program participants including conducting participant intakes and providing services and resource referrals. Collaborating with community site partners and coworkers to ensure effective service delivery. Lead, train and supervise volunteers and interns during loading/unloading and distribution. Collaborate with Program Manager to maximize program operations and efficiency.

15% - Seasonal Free Farmers Markets events (June - October):

Equipment prep and tear down, driving Keystone vehicles and helping lead volunteers on day of distribution. Ensure smooth Free Farmers Market event flow and operation.

10% - Vehicle Operations

Follow safety protocols while operating agency vehicles. Manage day to day vehicle maintenance (i.e. gas, mileage). Work with Program Manager to maintain vehicles (i.e. oil changes, and other preventative servicing). Work with team to ensure safe departure, arrival and parking of agency vehicles.

10% - Database Management

Maintain participant database including data entry and file updates.

5% - Food Center Support:

Work in Keystone Community Food Center (KCFC) Market and warehouse Transport donations Set up and lead group volunteer events

5% - Other

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid MN Driver’s License and current insurance. MN DOT medical card or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work demands. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification Preferences

Fluency in a second language such as: Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, or Spanish. Experience with emergency food services or related social services. Previous database management experience.
