Responsibilities
Here’s what you can expect to do in these positions:
Residency Education Coordinator This position is part-time, 32 hours per week from August to May, starting its initial season in September 2024 and running for nine months through May. This position manages the high-impact Residency Program at Como -- a structured four-day educational experience with both Como’s plants and animals. The program is designed to be accessible and free for both metro-area and Greater Minnesota students and alternates locations between Como and schools. Public Engagement Coordinator This is a 40-hour-per-week, year-round position. This position coordinates the Como CARES Public Engagement programming. The CARES Team provides programs for all Minnesotans with a focus on reaching underserved populations through free and accessible onsite programming, virtual programming, and community outreach and engagement.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience working in formal or informal educational settings with at least two of the four years of experience working in one or more of the following areas: teaching in an early childhood development setting, teaching in a school or organizational group setting, coordinating interpretative programming in a recreational setting.
Must possess a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
A combination of education and experience to equal 8 years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
