The Grocery manager selected will oversee the daily operations at Mini Super La Chiquis ethnic grocery store with a money sending, meat, grocery, and consumer goods departments and oversee the financial, security safety, and supervise all grocery store staff. As a manager, the selected person will resolve any employee disputes that arise, direct staff, assign duties, and discipline staff if needed. The manager will also be responsible for scheduling shifts and vacation days, and when necessary, dispense employee paychecks on the agreed-upon schedule. The manager will train and hire new grocery store staff members to operate cash registers and ring up customer purchases. Other duties include experience in Wire Transfer Management by managing and leading a group of money transfer clerks. The candidate must be able to complete the necessary accounting documents and auditing records for local, county, state, regulatory and federal authorities. The Wire Transfer Manager must be bilingual and fully competent in the English and Spanish languages and have at least 3 years experience managing a money sending business. The experience must include being the compliance officer between the money sending business and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN). This includes filing the necessary reports with FINCEN and maintaining the necessary auditing documents. The candidate must be proficient with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering Manual. Finally, the manager will be the Mini Super La Chiquis’ representative that will complete all responsibilities related to any money sending anti money laundering audits with the Internal Revenue Service or Principals. The manager will also file pertinent FINCEN via the FINCEN database. The selected managers will regularly inspect the store to determine what tasks need to be completed by staff and monitor inventory and update logs. The manager will pay close attention to store inventory, looking for expired or spoiled items, empty shelves, retail areas, messes, or spills that need clean up. They listen to customer complaints and work together to find satisfying resolutions, including a refund or store credit, and must reconcile store transactions and prepare bank deposits.

General Manager Responsibilities • Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice. • Detailed oriented, passionate in dealing with cross functional teams, and has a keen eye in organizing multiple registers/checklists. • • Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents. • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience. • Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures. • • The Manager will be also represent Mini Super La Chiquis in inspections by the City of St Paul, Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Money sending business audits by the IRS, Minnesota Department of Commerce or any principal of the money sending agent. • Communicate and maintain team member safety and security standards. • Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates. • Serve as the mentor and coach for all team members. • Order and maintain grocery, frozen foods, meat, money-sending business and dairy products. • Execute all defined inventory accuracy and inventory control procedures daily. • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies in inventory. • Assist in planning, organizing and supervising the inventory process. • Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals. • Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation. • Coordinate repair and maintenance work with vendors, equipment suppliers and technicians. • You will be the first line of defense of the licensed entity with the main responsibility of guarding the business by ensuring no regulatory breaches occur. • • You will implement the existing licensed entity oversight governance framework. This includes creation and manning obligations checklist, submitting reports to the regulator, and coordinating multiple support functions of the licensed entity in any necessary request by regulators. • In partnership with the entities’ direct responsible individuals, you will develop regulatory compliance impact assessment and change management plans for new and updated money sending laws and regulations. • You will also spearhead the licensed entity’s semi-annual due diligence process and maintain the outsourcing register. • You will lead the internal coordination for all internal audit review and track the progress of internal audit findings closure. • Demonstrated strong leadership abilities, including training and mentoring employees. • Solid computer skills. • Basic understanding of planograms. • Meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

Role Requirements • Associate’s degree or its equivalent, and experience in handling compliance or a similar related field. • Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and in writing) is mandatory. • Experience in project management/coordination is a must. • You will also have sound communication and facilitation skills, be able to demonstrate analytical thinking, and have proven decision-making abilities. • Advance proficiency level working with any project management tools e.g Confluence, JIRA, and all MS Office programs is essential. • From previous experience, you will be expected to demonstrate flexibility to adapt, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while working independently, as well as being a team contributor. • You will have a strong compliance etiquette with a solid focus on delivery and completion of tasks within the given regulatory deadlines. • You will be working in a global and multicultural environment, thus fluency in English/Spanish– both verbally and in writing is a must.
