Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Setup and pickup of traffic counters and video cameras for traffic data collection Conduct traffic counts from video using traffic count software and devices in an office environment Assist traffic engineering staff as able and qualified with all variety of multimodal traffic engineering tasks including analysis, design, and study reports Conduct technical traffic operations analysis using traffic modeling programs Assist with design plans by utilizing CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD and/or Microstation) that support highway and municipal designs of traffic signals, signing and striping, and technology systems Participate in regular staff meetings and training opportunities, support a variety of project managers and practices with critical data and information for their projects
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to work approximately 8 hours or more per week during the school year and potential to work additional hours during school breaks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Must possess a valid Driver’s and must be able to successfully pass an MVR check
- Ability to travel as needed for field reviews, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds of equipment
