Office of Financial Services: The Office of Financial Services has a vacancy within the Fleet Maintenance Division, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position is located at 891 Dale Street and required to work in the office full-time.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Answers phones for general inquires, including responding to customer or co-worker requests in-person, via phone and e-mail. Performs specialized and complex clerical support duties including accounts payable processing and various data entry tasks within Infor, Microsoft Office, and AssetWorks M5 Provides routine customer service and interaction with the public and various staff members, staffs the front desk and serves as the first point of contact to visitors. Serving as back-up to staff in the parts room as necessary - including parts ordering, document scanning, filing, and annual storeroom physical inventory.
Department of Public Works: The Department of Public Works has a vacancy within the Sewer Maintenance Division, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This position is located at 419 Burgess Street and is required to work in office full-time.
Primary Responsibilities: Answers phones for general inquiries, including responding to customer or co-worker in-person, via phone, and e-email. Processes job service request into the asset management system and prints permits and strip maps for job requests. Performs specialized and complex clerical support duties including accounts payable, processing and entering timekeeping functions, employee files, workers compensation and injury paperwork, procurement, and internal accounts receivable.
The eligible list created from this assessment will also be used to fill Office Assistant III positions as they become available in various departments within the City.
Qualifications
High school diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED) and four years of clerical/administrative experience, two years which must have been as an Office Assistant II, or equivalent.
Two years of post high school education can be substituted for two years of clerical/administrative experience if the curriculum included course work related to the work performed by the Office or Executive Assistant classes.
