Job Summary

This posting may be used to fill multiple vacancies. Telework is available and negotiated at the time of hire. There may be periodic requirements in office, roughly once per quarter or at the discretion of management.

As the Human Resources (HR) Systems & Data Analyst, you will partner with all areas of the agency to identify workforce needs related to HR systems and data. This role is critical to making data informed decisions to further creating an exceptional employee experience at the Department of Revenue.
Teleworking employees are required to live in Minnesota or a bordering state in a county along the Minnesota state line.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional analysis experience* o *Bachelor's degree in a closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience; master’s degree substitutes for eighteen (18) months of experience; PhD substitutes for twenty-four (24) months of experience. • Knowledge and experience with HRIS databases • Experience gathering, analyzing, and conveying data • Effective oral and written communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills. To communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences. • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Excel, including experience with v-lookup, pivot tables and creation of charts and graphs • Excellent analytical skills, thorough, and detail oriented. • Ability to use a consultative approach with HR peers and stakeholders; displays business acumen to understand business challenges and recommend solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating talent dashboards for broad distribution • Knowledge of data validation/quality assurance practices • Ability to apply HR functional knowledge to improve business processes • Knowledge and experience with MS business intelligence reporting tools
