Job Summary: The Workforce Planning Manager will lead a collaborative team in creating and delivering data-driven proactive processes and programs to ensure that we have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time. This role will work as a strategist providing leadership, support, and vision to identify traditional and nontraditional methods of finding talent. The individual will organize and provide structure for short term and long-term impact, be creative when executing daily tasks and forward planning, anticipate future needs and trends, and ensure the team is meeting expectations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Teleworking employees are required to live in Minnesota or a bordering state in a county along the Minnesota state line.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications • Three years of professional experience in talent management and workforce planning Or A bachelor’s degree in a related field as determined by the appointing authority plus two (2) years of professional experience as described above; Or Master’s degree as described above plus one (1) year of professional experience as described above • 1 year of supervisory experience including experience leading high performing teams in agile, fast paced work environments • Experience implementing data driven workforce planning strategies and techniques • Experience in strategy development, design, and implementation of cross-functional initiatives Applicants who meet the above requirements will be further evaluated on the following during the interview process: • Excellent communication and active listening skills, including the ability to articulate complex messages in a clear, concise way to a variety of audiences Preferred Qualifications: • Experience interpreting qualitative and quantitative workforce data and putting into actionable results • Knowledge in classification and compensation • Experience in building talent pipelines • Experience operating in a complex organization as a strategic business partner • Experience in change management or continuous improvement

Physical Requirements

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
