This position will provide assistance with managing, developing, organizing, improving, and evaluating the division's Intranet/Collaboration applications. Under general supervision, this position will support the Budget Coordinator for approximately 220 division employees and will work closely with Financial Management staff. This position will independently maintain the Folio Views application used by the division. This position will serve on department-wide, cross-divisional, and divisional teams; and other related duties which support the department’s strategic plan. The work requires both independent and coordinated development of new approaches, procedures, rules, standards, and goals for these activities.

This is a teleworking position and will work from the St. Paul office 1-2 days per week. Teleworking employees are required to live in Minnesota or a bordering state in a county along the Minnesota state line.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of full-time equivalent professional; OR
  • Three (3) years of technical/administrative experience in process development and improvement, workflow, data systems, data and information management, and data research and analysis; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field; OR
  • Equivalent combination in process development and improvement, workflow, data systems, data and information management, and data research and analysis experience and education.
  • Associates degree may substitute for six months of experience.*

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SharePoint applications, both core and functionality outside core. Knowledge of information system development procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, reconcile, and prepare financial information, records, and reports: locate errors and recommend solutions to procedural or other fiscal problems.
  • Experience managing a division/department budget. Knowledge of the agency's budget systems and processes.
  • Experience with Statewide Integrated Financial Tool (SWIFT) application.
  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize and process a large volume of work while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication skills necessary to work collaboratively with employees at all levels.

Physical Requirements:

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
