The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for supporting all department operations for assigned locations. They will directly oversee all branch operations including delivery, plant, warehouse and office functions. Acts as the main liaison between the branch and the Leadership Team in the direction and implementation of standard operating procedures, building improvements, staffing changes, and other developments. Position is responsible for meeting goals set by the Leadership Team and supporting and reinforcing the company mission and culture.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead, manage and hold employees accountable; ensure employee compliance with established policies, procedures, and objectives of the Company through L-10 meetings. • Maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and others related to the company; work effectively as a team with all OSC personnel. • Ensure all branch functions meet the company’s high standards and that all functions are staffed by qualified personnel, to include: o Ensure City Desk has full inventory, clean demo room, tidy shelves, etc. and support excellent customer service. o Oversee warehouse operation with a focus on clean, organized and efficient operation. o Monitor stock point review, decide when to add and eliminate. o Work closely with dispatch and delivery drivers to manage routes, improve efficiency, maintain driving and maintenance records, and improve processes as needed. o Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations and maintain appropriate licensures, certifications and records. o Monitor location budgets, review and approve expenses and time entry, and share financial updates with the Finance Department, Leadership Team, and other parties as required. o Manage safety practices including confirming that safety trainings and inspections are completed as required, maintaining OSHA compliance and assisting the safety department in the development, implementation and enforcement of appropriate safety procedures. o Assist in the negotiation and coordination of building maintenance repairs and contracts. • Implement strategic plans in conjunction with the Leadership Team. • Be a focal point for questions/concerns of OSC personnel/customers. Adhere to and reinforce OSC’s Mission, Values, Culture, Policies, and Procedures. • Perform all aspects of the job as accurately and efficiently as possible while providing exceptional customer service at all times.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills: • High School Diploma and 3+ years of management experience, with a strong preference for related industry experience. • Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. • Broad experience with full range of all business functions and systems. • Strong communication, leadership and management skills. • Skilled in Windows based Microsoft Office environment (Excel, Word and Outlook). • Proficient with dispatch and delivery systems and ERP Software. • Strong problem solving, project management and creative resourcefulness. • Ability to anticipate future consequences, act and react as necessary. • Ability to connect to staff both on an individual level and in large groups. • Willing to work hard, look for challenges and take charge of a situation. • Willing to take unpopular stands when necessary. • Ability to think and operate objectively in order to do the right thing.
