Hansen Thorp Pellinen Olson, Inc. (HTPO) is looking for a Survey Field Technician starting with the 2023 season. This is a full-time position with benefits, subject to seasonal furlough.

Responsibilities
In a typical week you may: • Assist crew chiefs with construction staking, quality control, contractor communications • Manage electronic and written data • Assist crew chiefs with field surveying, including boundary and topographic surveys, survey for designs, plats, CIC, etc. • Assist with operation of equipment and instruments to measure, record, and calculate data • Stock vehicles with survey supplies and equipment
Qualifications
You need to have: • High School diploma or equivalent • Strong work ethic • Ability to learn through on-the-job training • Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information • Acceptable driving record, ability to commute daily, and valid Class D driver’s license
Physical requirements include: • Ability to work extended hours, including some weekends, to accommodate Contractor’s schedule • Ability to travel, including some overnight stays, if needed • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and terrain conditions • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, carrying materials, and standing for long periods of time
