The Vending and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Sales Specialist will work directly with the sales department at all locations. They will take leads from the sales team members and work with the end-user to identify their needs, develop a program that meets those needs, and have them sign an agreement. The specialist will work with purchasing and vending coordinators to order, set-up, and install the necessary equipment at the customer location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate and cultivate the Core Values of Oxygen Service Company internally and externally. Be well versed in our vending partners and the products and programs they offer. Research and develop relationships with vendors for vendor managed inventory solutions. Work with the sales department to develop a target list of vending customers. Understand product supply agreements and how to present to a customer for approval. Work with potential vending customers on product selection and inventory levels. Track and monitor vending agreements for potential resigns. Stay up to date with competitive vending programs and how to sell against them. Utilize the Track Selling Process and a CRM Program to track the progress of potential vending customers. Monitor customer usage and recommend product replacements when appropriate. Provide backup support for vending coordinator. Track the lifespan of the vending equipment and be involved with the budgetary process to recommend when to replace machines.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills: High School diploma or equivalency. Associates Degree or Certificate in business related field is a plus. 2+ years in welding or related industry with sales or customer service experience preferred. Valid Class D Driver’s License. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software. Ability to work alone, influence people in opinions, attitudes, and judgements. Must be organized and have good time management, with the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines. Demonstrate professionalism, superior people skills, strong oral and written communication skills. Must be a team player with an ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.
