Hansen Thorp Pellinen Olson, Inc. (HTPO) is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. HTPO has a terrific opportunity for a civil engineer interested in hands on work with a variety of public and private sector clients.
HTPO is a small business located in Eden Prairie that manages a diverse portfolio of project types and sizes. We provide both in-house and out-of-house training opportunities and are open to flexible work schedules.
Responsibilities
In a typical week you may: o Provide analysis and design for engineering projects including resources analysis, computations, design drafting, team communications, scheduling, budgeting. o Play a key role in design and coordination of site development, transportation, drainage, and utility projects o Communicate and meet with clients, permitting agencies, and public officials o Provide mentorship and assistance for other engineers and staff and coordinate with other design team members on a consistent basis o Develop client relationships and apply marketing strategies for business development
Qualifications
You need to have: o 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design o In-depth experience with Bentley CAD software including Power GEOPAK, InRoads, or OpenRoads Designer o Experience with AutoCAD with in-depth Civil 3D experience a plus o Degree in civil engineering and Professional Licensure in Minnesota o Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices o Proven ability to develop technical specifications, construction estimates, and other project documents, including managing regulatory permits and applications o Field observation experience and an understanding of construction o Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
