Description: The Roseville Adult Learning Center has a vacancy for a beginning level adult EL Teacher at Anpétu Téca Education Center. The teacher in this position will work 3.75 (instruction, prep) hours on Monday evenings, and 5.5 hours/day on Tuesdays. The position begins as soon as possible for training and meetings, and school starts on 09/12/2022.
The teacher must be comfortable and confident working with a wide range of beginning level English learners. The teacher will provide instruction to level 1 adult EL students with a focus on beginning language, numeracy and literacy development.
Qualifications
Qualifications: The qualifications for this position are as follows:
- A current MN teaching license in EL, ELA, reading, literacy, special education or ABE is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience teaching reading, writing, and speaking with English learners.
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching and learning.
Compensation: Salary range is determined based on the ABE/ECFE matrix located in the Roseville teaching contract. Minimum starting salary for candidates with a BA is $30.88 per hour.
