Performs full supervisory and expert professional work managing the daily operations associated with housing rehabilitation and development projects. Oversees and directs programs and functions related to development, renovation, energy efficiency, and housing rehabilitation. Reviews and supervises work related to loan programming, finance assistance, and real estate development. Reviews and supervises staff responsible for real estate development program management, request for proposals development, housing program administration, and budget management. Assists with administrative support activities including budget development and administration, monitoring revenue trends, and managing expenditures. Provides policy recommendations, identifies program needs and may directly support to the leadership team. Directs hiring, performance management, coaching, and training staff. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Information About the Current Vacancies: There are 2 vacancies for this position in Planning and Economic Development (PED). One position will focus on single family housing and the other will focus on multi-family housing.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Housing, Real Estate or a related field, and eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in housing rehabilitation and development projects focusing on funding allocation, community relations, real estate partnerships, grants, and real estate property financing.

Related areas may include but are not limited to the following: Public Policy, Urban Planning, Social Work, Housing, Sociology, Political Science, and Education.

Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
