Performs intermediate-level professional work in the administration, coordination, and oversight of community development programs such as Community Development Block Grants, Capital Improvement, and Housing Rehabilitation, and Redevelopment projects. Writes, negotiates, and implements grant agreements, programs contracts, and financial agreements. Reviews and evaluates the performance of grant projects and programs and recommends and/or takes appropriate action to achieve desired goals and objectives. Assists the manager in the preparation of annual budgets, long-range fiscal and program planning, and new community development program creation and implementation. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Information About the Current Vacancies: There are 3 vacancies for this position - two in Planning and Economic Development (PED) and one in the Office of Financial Services (OFS). The eligible list created from this assessment will also be used to fill positions as they become available in various departments within the City.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience in community development or federal program administration, at least two years of which must have been as a Grants Assistant or equivalent.

Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
