We have an immediate opening on our Information Team, for a GIS Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a range of interesting projects and collaborate with a great team of people. Responsibilities

The successful applicant will assist with processing, analyzing, and displaying geospatial data and producing maps for historical and cultural studies. Additionally, they will assist with data management and IT support, as needed, by providing basic technical support (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.). Examples of technical support may include basic troubleshooting desktop/laptop issues, printer jam fixes, generate some database queries, documentation of solutions. They may also participate in additional projects, as appropriate, according to skill level and availability and contribute to a company culture of teamwork, service, and excellence.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in geography, GIS, geospatial technology, or another related field -Two or more years of experience in similar or related field -Experience with geoprocessing in the ArcGIS environment, including experience using spatial/3D analyst extensions -Experience managing complex databases and strong organizational skills -Understanding of cartographic principles and ability to create easy to understand maps -Able to create, maintain, and edit spatial and tabular datasets in ArcGIS 10.X and ArcPro -Flexibility in applying GIS to a wide variety of disciplines -Good working knowledge of current information technologies including GPS data collection -Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications -Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience -Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects -Ability to work individually and as a team -Ability to adapt quickly and work well under pressure -Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing -Working knowledge and ability to use or learn to use current technologies -Valid driver’s license and able to commute to either the 106 Group offices or project locations -Documentation to prove full vaccination from COVID-19

Additional experience valued or preferred -Experience with historical data, LiDAR data, georeferencing, and spatial data editing -Knowledge of Python/VBA programming -Experience with Microsoft Access/SQL -Experience or an interest in technology related to IT support, information management, data management, and databases (Access and SQL Server) -Experience with web design and/or development including WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or PHP -Experience in Project Management
