Overview
The Minnesota State Fair hosts dozens of competitive exhibit categories including baked goods, crafts, livestock, farm crops, flowers and many more! The Minnesota State Fair Competition department is in search of a Competition Administrative Assistant to help support the daily operations of the Competition department and the Admin Too Building.

-Summer Employment - Begin in July and continue through September 5, 2022 -Extended hours during peak times, including some weekends and evenings are required. -Required to work all 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair, August 25 - September 5, 2022
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Minnesota State Fair’s Admin Too building.
- Staff building reception area and direct visitors to various departments.
- Manage exhibitor relationships answering departmental phone calls and in person inquiries in a professional and positive manner.
- Work with exhibitors to problem solve online registration issues over the phone.
- Deliver excellent customer service to exhibitors, superintendents, vendors, and fair guests.
- Proof entries and results.
- Enter results and other competition data.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Assist with tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor or competition managers.
- Work extra daily hours and periods with no days off during peak activity times (must be available to work Aug. 22 through Sept. 5).
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Enjoys connecting with others.
- Strong computer skills.
