JOB SUMMARY:

Face to Face Health and Counseling is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of youth ages 11–24. We offer health care, counseling, and programs for youth experiencing homelessness.

The Employment & Education Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Face to Face’s employment and education programs for youth. They will supervise two Employment & Education Navigators in providing coaching, training and support for youth seeking education and employment opportunities. This position will also facilitates Face to Face’s paid internship program for youth with community employers.

This position is 37.5 hours a week and requires availability on evenings and weekends.

PAY & BENEFITS:

The pay rate for this position is between $50,000 - $52,000 a year, based on qualifications. Face to Face also offers benefits which include health, dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, 403b account as well as generous PTO (23 days annually) and paid holidays (10 per year).

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operationalize Face to Face’s new youth Employment and Education program based on successes from past pilot programs, feedback from youth on their needs and goals, and in compliance with the goals, outcomes and budget outlined by the funder. Hire, train, and supervise two Employment & Education Navigators. Ensure education & employment programming is provided in the context of the nine evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness (journey oriented, trauma informed, non-judgmental, harm reduction, trusting youth-adult relationships, strengths-based, positive youth development, holistic, collaboration) Develop and implement systems, protocols, and programs to manage the work of the education & employment team in order to ensure exceptional youth-centered care Oversee Face to Face’s partnerships with St. Paul Public Schools Project Reach and Face to Face Academy Build partnerships with local employers, Ramsey County Workforce, and other local organizations in order to facilitate referrals and opportunities for youth Plan and facilitate employment and professional skills trainings and workshops for youth, both in a group settings and through one-on-one coaching Oversee quality of program delivery and collect feedback and evaluation data from all stakeholders (youth, agency staff, community partners, etc) Manage all administrative aspects of the program including data entry, finance tracking, managing client resources, and reporting to the funder Collaborate with other Face to Face staff and community organizations to provide wraparound support for youth Engage with youth in a meaningful and respectful manner while assisting them with various resources and support Respond to crises and de-escalate situations in a calm and professional manner. Work closely with the Manager of Homeless Youth Programs, Case Management Supervisor and SafeZone Supervisor to support youth and staff. Collaborate with all staff and maintain positive teamwork style. Provides all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness. Comply with agency’s written employment policies. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: B.A. in social work, youth development, or related-field required Minimum of 2+ years’ work experience working with the homeless or at-risk youth Experience supervising others preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities; High degree of problem-solving skill; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse populations; Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and involving others when necessary; Good crisis management skills and the ability to navigate stressful situations well; and Positive attitude and ability to work with and motivate a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to perform the duties outlined in the job description. Ability to perform duties and responsibilities typical of an office environment. Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds Able to be flexible, work under stress and to respond to emergencies/crises Must be able to travel in all weather conditions in MN Face to Face is subject to the government mandate requiring employee COVID vaccination.
