Provide financial analysis, reporting, and support for manufacturing activities. Ensure manufacturing and inventory accounting transactions are accurately accounted for and reported on the financial statements. Apply the principles of cost accounting to analyze detailed cost information, identify business process issues, and create action plans to implement business process improvements.
Responsibilities
Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies. Coordinate cost accounting activities to ensure complete, accurate, and timely analysis of margins, purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, work-in-process, and inventory balances. Implement and maintain control systems and procedures to ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded and inventories are accurately stated. Participate in the development of annual budgets, labor and overhead rates. Monitor cycle count accuracy and frequency all North America facilities to ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures. Identify business process improvements. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine the impact on standard costs and inventory values. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard, planned and actual production costs. Review project cost developments and percentage of completion revenue recognition Reconcile inventory accounts. Analyze and report on monthly financial results. Support year-end audits and provide documentation on costing and inventory accounting Provide hands-on support to other functional areas and facilities. Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting Minimum of three years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of project cost accounting and PoC revenue recognition Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to work and interact with personnel at all levels within the organization In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, SAP experience preferred Intermediate or advanced Excel and basic Word skills
