Soldering Training Program
KOM’s Soldering Training Program is a free 7-week program offered in partnership with TSC Connect LLC and Roseville Adult Learning Center. After finishing this program, participants will be IPC certified, enabling them to get a job in the electronics industry!
Our Soldering Training Program takes place every 2 months. It is a full time program, running from 9am to 1pm Monday-Friday. Students will start by learning soldering terminology, manufacturing math, and job-seeking skills, and then will begin learning small-component soldering techniques. Throughout the program, students will receive support from a career counselor. Upon completion, students will receive both IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification, as well as job placement support. Transportation support is also available for students who need it.
To be eligible for the Soldering Training Program, potential students must:
- Seek employment in the soldering industry after completing the program
- Not be currently enrolled in high school
- Be of Southeast Asian descent (defined as Karen, Karenni, Burmese, Vietnamese, Hmong, Laos, or Cambodian)
